Baa Baa Baa

A poem questioning sheep's consciousness

What do the sheep say

when they baa to each other?

Noticing the sunset,

and the hues of pink

that brush the sky?

Commenting about how

green the grass is that

covers the fields?

Pointing their heads to

the sky and closing their eyes

when they like the sound

of birds whispering hello?

When they view the underneath

of a bunny tail, are they

convinced their skin is

jumping away?

Do you think they know

my jumper is knitted wool?
